I am recruiting for a well-regarded family business established for over 21 years. Specialising in bespoke signage/graphics both locally and nationally.
Due to their continued and controlled expansion, they are looking to recruit a Creative Artworker in their Design Department
They are seeking a creative, self -motivated and team-orientated individual with a design background, ideally in brand/logo creation.
A key part of the role is seeing the brief through from conception to completion.
This opportunity will appeal to a Graphic Designer / Creative Artworker who wants to be part of a young, progressive, customer centric company that take personal development of their team seriously as well as the creation of an exceptional product.
Your role will be based at their offices in Harrogate where the hours are 8am- 5.00pm Monday- Friday.
This Role is client facing & includes but is not limited to:
* Managing Client communication during projects.
* Extensive use of design packages.
* Quoting and working to tight deadlines.
* Setting and preparing files to print.
* Managing clients’ expectations
* Understanding measurements, scales and DPI.
* The ability to re-organise and juggle highly active lists of jobs with constantly changing statuses.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Creating and designing, from scratch and following existing brand guidelines for clients for projects such as exhibitions, shop fascia’s and vehicle graphics.
* A strong knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, and the ability to learn different design packages.
* A strong creative flair.
* Proof reading skills & good attention to detail.
* Prioritising jobs and working to tight deadlines.
* Previous experience with large format printers and/or cutting would be beneficial.
* Use of large format printers (full training will be provided).
* Application/Installation experience preferable but not essential. Understanding of materials and fixings and/or keen to develop knowledge of these
