Innovative Print Management business offering an unsurpassed technology platform that delivers Digital Multi-Channel Marketing and Web-to-Print services, seek to appoint an outstanding Web Developer to be responsible for coding bespoke web apps, multi-channel marketing campaigns and responsive HTML emails using .NET C#, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript programming languages.
A good knowledge of SQL or MySQL will also be required as most web apps and campaigns will be integrated into a database. This can involve writing code in a web app to communicate with a database as well as creating databases, tables, queries and stored procedures using SSMS or MySQL Workbench.
You will play a key role in the development of a wide range of web apps in accordance with client and business specifications, as well as dynamic multi-channel marketing campaigns and responsive HTML emails using our PremLive tools. On-site training will be provided for the learning and understanding of these tools.
As an ambitious and talented Web Developer, this role will see you working on various new projects, and the maintenance and improvement of existing projects, both collaboratively with the Development Team as well as individually. You will also work with a Design Team to translate their designs into visually appealing web apps and sites that ensure great user experience.
Responsibilities
* Working in a team of Web Developers to help deliver the bespoke needs of a client
* Write clean, well documented, scalable code using best software development practices
* Developing web apps from supplied designs and specifications as well as gathering and refining specifications through customer meetings and interviews
* Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
* Keep up to date with the latest .NET and web development concepts and best practices for building web apps and sites
* Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance and improvements for new, and existing, web apps and multi-channel marketing campaigns alongside other team members
* Thorough testing of developed projects, including user testing
Skills and Qualifications
* 2+ years proven working experience in web programming using the .NET C# programming language, plus HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, to create web apps and multi-channel marketing campaigns from scratch, with strong attention to detail
* Familiarity with the Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern
* Knowledge of other programming languages / JavaScript frameworks would be an advantage but not essential, e.g. React, Vue.js, Node.js, PHP, Angular
* SQL Server / MySQL; creating databases, tables, queries and stored procedures
* A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
* A strong knowledge of coding responsive HTML emails that give a consistent experience across multiple email clients and devices
* Understanding of Git version control and ISO change management logging
* Excellent communication skills
* Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
* Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
* Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
