Packaging Repro Artworker
Location: Clydebank
Salary: DOE
Company: A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels manufacturer.
Role: The role will be studio based, servicing, and managing the artwork and plate requirements. You will be responsible for creating artwork across various food and beverages packaging accounts.
* Creating packaging artwork following brand guidelines and/or design requirements
* Developing artwork in line with print production constraints
* Preparing accurate packaging artwork from approved designs and briefs
* Working on predominately food and beverage accounts
* Producing press ready artwork files ready to be sent to external suppliers of tooling.
* Produce press ready files for plating inhouse.
* Produce printing plates for all inhouse plate processes.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience of Adobe CC packages – Illustrator, Photoshop
* Mac and PC OS skills
* Experience creating technical packaging artwork
* A background in print or packaging with a full understanding of prepress and production setup for digital, flexo and litho printing and to produce printing plates.
* A keen eye for and understanding of colour.
* Previous food and beverage label experience – advantageous
* Knowledge of artwork, pre-press and repro procedures
* Experience of the print industry and processes i.e., flexo
* Proven experience of artwork creation and manipulation to a high standard
* Encourage continuous improvement by delivering the print finishing plan using Lean principles.
* Can work both as part of a team and unsupervised.
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines in fast paced environment.
