Unique opportunity available for an Associate Technical Lead to join a prominent Leeds based Architectural Practice where you will be challenged to technically develop Architectural Projects and assist in the day to day running and technical delivery of these projects.

The Associate Technical Lead will be joining one of the Premier Architectural brands in Leeds, the business has a rich heritage spanning 30 years and have established studios in Leeds & London, the business employs around 45 design professionals who each thrive in a rewarding and challenging working environment. Famed for their design-led ethos and flawless technical delivery expertise, our client have a predominantly developer led portfolio of work which consists of high end Mixed Use Residential & Commercial developments often of a high rise nature, student accommodation and large scale supporting infrastructure projects specifically rail related.

Due to several large scale project awards a strategic Senior level hire is required in the shape of an Associate Technical Lead, this would suit an experienced Senior Level Architectural Technologist or a Technically focussed Senior Level Architect. The role is focussed on general project delivery, working under the management of a Project Director you will be responsible for project running and the subsequent technical delivery of various schemes at a variety of stages.

Additional duties of the Associate Technical Lead include –

To lead by example personally delivering high quality of consistent standards of design, project management and client care with the objective of creating innovation and aim to achieve award winning success
To act as an ambassador for the business and positively represent the company
To attend and participate in events identified to benefit the profile and development of the Practice as required
Production of CAD/Revit drawn detailed information at all work stages.
Producing technical, NBS and other performance specifications. Writing reports, minutes and issuing information.
Producing information, document control, records filing and following QA/JQP and office procedures.
Managing work of less experienced members of staff in the delivery of schemes as above. Acting as technical mentor to colleagues pursuing professional qualifications.
To be flexible and committed to the needs of the practice, team and project within the terms of employment. This could include providing support to other project teams and attending relevant events etc.
Producing, manage and control production information (drawings, documents and specifications etc). Manage or co-ordinate other design team and associated professionals. Attend project and contract related meetings where required (client review, design team, local authority planning and building control etc) Contract Administration and project certification where relevant.

Revit / BIM standards

Actively develop the studio's BIM/Revit capabilities; this could include development of model libraries, sheet standardization, provide guidance and ad-hoc training to inexperienced users, continued development of our naming/file protocol or attend CPD/training events which would directly benefit this role.
Become a key point of contact for the studio's BIM/Revit capability.
Aid in commenting BIM Execution Plans across the studio

Relevant background of the Associate Technical Lead

Experienced MCIAT Architectural Technologist or Technically competent Architect operating at a Senior Level.
Architectural Practice background with at least 10 years work experience.
Proven job running and technical delivery experience.
Supporting portfolio ideally of projects within the Mixed use residential and commercial sectors.
Thorough understanding of BIM / REVIT.
Meticulous eye for technical detailing and a forensic approach to problem solving.
Team player and a conscientious individual keen to positively impact the business
Ambitious and tenacious work ethic, keen for future progression.

Salary £45,000 – £50,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, professional fees, annual trip abroad, ad-hoc social nights out.
