Salary : £20000 – £40000/annum DOE

An Urban Designer is required for an award-winning architectural practise based on the outskirts of Southampton.
 
Over the last few months, their Urban Design team of 6 has been extremely busy with new work enquiries and they are now looking to take on an additional Urban Designer and a Junior Urban Designer.
 
This practice has two offices across the UK and employs over 50 staff. After a month or so (company discretion) hybrid working is offered to new staff with the option of working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, flexible start and finish times are also offered.
 
They are known for providing services within the architectural, sustainability and urban design sectors. Projects wise they work on anything from volume developer, care homes, retirement villages, master planning, and urban design.
 
As the Urban Designer, you will be working on master plans and designs for housing developments throughout the UK. You will also look at the overall designs and reviews to improve any existing development and give advice on ongoing projects.
 
The role will also see you produce design and access statements, feasibility studies and use AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Sketchup. The ability to produce hand drawings is also advantageous for this position.
