Near Wellingborough
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
Salary: £18,000 – £25,000 (depending on specific experience)
Due to location: a driving licence may be required.
Ascendant Recruitment are working on behalf of our client based near Wellingborough. We're looking for a junior or experienced Technical Designer (my client will even consider newly graduates). The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience using the design software: AutoCad and/or Vectorworks, other software knowledge including Photoshop is also desirable. The projects of the successful Technical Designer will range from high-profile clients within the UK to various international ones within our client's specific industry.
Key responsibilities for Technical Designer will include but are not limited to:
Working in conjunction with the sales and support team, turning their design briefs and requests into exciting and innovative designs proposals.
Accurately costing design requests using our bespoke project management system
Produce 3D visuals and graphical illustrations.
Formalise and prepare tender documents for submission.
Produce technical specifications to guide our installation teams whilst on-site.
Produce marketing material and product literature.
Designing landscape plans and playscape concepts in both 2D and 3D.
Preparation of clear and curate drawings, specs and cost estimates
Issue of designs and drawings for approval. Skills and Abilities of Technical Designer:
We require a driven individual with a can do attitude, they will also need a creative eye, to be a team player and have a flexible approach to their work.
Key Skills: Design Skills (working knowledge of AUTO-CAD and/or Vectorworks), Illustration Tools (Photoshop), Conceptual Skills (hand sketch).
Numeracy and accuracy would be considered essential skills.
