Kier Professional Services (KPS) are an exclusive in-house resource, providing readily available expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in temporary and permanent works. KPS are able to quickly mobilise resources to support project delivery and consistently deliver a dependable design service for buildability and safety.

We are Kier, one the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Kier Professional Services Team in Wymondham to support the team in delivering a broad range of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role you'll support the engineering side of the business by carrying out several important support functions. You'll be responsible for the resourcing and project delivery on large multi-disciplinary schemes. This will involve receiving design briefs, assigning resource, and tracking the progress of work, keeping our clients informed as required. You'll be required to attend progress meetings with the client and be able to clearly communicate the current status of the work and request any further clarifications or information on behalf of the design team. You will also be required to provide input on a monthly basis for commercial monitoring and invoicing.

What do we need from you?

A highly organised and competent individual with previous relevant experience. You'll have experience of working to tight deadlines and excellent communication skills. You'll be a trusted relationship builder and able to work with internal and external stakeholders, under your own initiative and as part of a wider team. You will ideally have a higher education qualification, such as an HND or degree in a relevant subject.
