As part of their recent growth & ongoing expansion plans, the client is currently looking for an INTERIOR DESIGNER / ROOM PLANNER to join the team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and contribute to their ongoing success. This role is on a contract basis for 3 – 6 months and comes with a competitve pay rate for the right candidate
ROLE:
* To prepare fast, accurate, attractive and commercial room design solutions that support the sales team in winning new business
JOB PURPOSE:
* On trend, commercial interior design solutions and room layouts
* The timely co-ordination and completion of all interior design solutions to meet the demands of customers.
* To assist in the continuous development of design systems and methods to improve both productivity and design presentation.
* Helping improve the results of performance KPIs
* To produce accurate designs that the estimating team can efficiently turn into quotations
* To become equally skilled across all product and business areas – Bedrooms, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Hotels, Care Homes
* Creating new business via inspiring and effective design.
* Timeliness of the completion of all interior design requests
KEY SKILLS:
* Qualified in a Design related discipline.
* Software Skills
* * Sketchup
* * Rendering Software (Lightup / Keyshot)
* * 2020 Fusion
* * AutoCAD
* * Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
* A background in Interior or product design
* Good communicator with the ability both to work as part of the team and individually
* A working knowledge of materials and processes used in the furniture industry
* A knowledge of furniture industry materials
