Architectural Technologist/Technical Design Co-ordinator – £35,000 – £40,000
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm – Leicester
The Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for an Architectural Technologist/Technician Design Co-Ordinator, working on behalf of a shopfitting company based in Leicester.
The key objective is to be comfortable drawing in 2D/3D using AutoCAD and Revit, as well as holding a design background in shopfitting or the building sector.
Main Responsibilities
* Review CAD drawings and ensure that the coordinated details and dimensions are correct.
* Cross-reference and check drawings against product data sheets for lighting, sanitaryware, and other interacting elements.
* Liaise with the drawing originator regarding any queries or discrepancies.
* Logging onto CDE portals such as Viewpoint/Acconex to access and review drawings.
* Assisting the Design Manager in responding to RFI queries.
* Drawing in 2D/3D using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Design architectural drawings and convert them into manufacturing drawings ready for approval.
* Technical checking of the various 3rd party subcontractor's design drawings and how they coordinate with each other.
* Working on high-end commercial and residential projects based across the UK.
The Candidate
* Previous design background within the shopfitting or building sectors.
* Experience in reviewing complex multi-sub-contractor packages.
* Architectural degree desirable.
* Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
* Based in Leicester but working on contracts in London, able to travel to London to attend site visits.
