Senior Design Engineer – C&I

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £45000 – £55000/annum

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to focus on Controls and Instrumentation projects for a large industrial engineering company based in Leeds.

This Design Engineer position will take responsibility for the management and delivery of assigned C&I projects, completing all design related activities before handing over each project to the production team.

This role will be on a straight permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

Undertake all designs and supporting activities for assigned projects and products.
Deputise for Lead Design Engineer where needed.
Preparation and issuing of C&I related documentation, requisitions and part lists.
Complete specifications of factored equipment and subcontract services.
Attend all design meetings.
Give support to other departments to help find solutions to engineering problems.
Liaise with customers and sub-contractors where needed.

Experience required:

Previous experience in a design role is essential.
Knowledge of control systems and instrumentation is also essential.
Excellent background using CAD systems (all system experience considered)
Ability to overcome challenges and issues.
Ability to work as part of a team or on own.
Previous experience in a lead or senior role is beneficial but not essential.
Strong attention to detail.
Qualified to HNC or equivalent in a relevant field.
