Mid-Weight Furniture and FF&E Designer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £45000/annum
Brookwood are currently looking for a Mid Weight Furniture and FF&E Designer to work for an award-winning design studio based in London. This internationally acclaimed studio specialises in luxury hospitality, including hotels, bars, restaurants and overall high-profile interiors. It combines innovative design with dedication to functionality and a love of layering different materials, textures and styles, for the creation of highly experiential interiors. The successful candidate will be part of a project team which focuses on the design, specification and management of manufacturing highly detailed bespoke furniture and lighting pieces.
About the role:
– Working on luxury hospitality and restaurant projects, creating bespoke furniture
– Prepare, develop and edit, under the guidance of the project leader, drawings and other documents relating to the design and manufacturing of furniture, in SketchUp, Autocad, Adobe Suite and 3D Max.
– Working with architectural finishes and fabrics to create robust design schemes
– Develop representations of design options confidently for further discussion by the project team
– Contribute and assist Senior Designers in the design and production of schemes
About the Candidate:
– Experience on furniture design and FF&E with focus on hospitality and restaurant projects
– Strong technical detailing skills
– Excellent knowledge of SketchUp, Autocad, 3D Max, Photoshop and InDesign
– Extensive knowledge of materials, textures and finishes
– Experience on delivering neat, clear and accurate design information and schedules
– High-level knowledge of joinery and detailing
– Excellent communications skills and good team player
