Salary : £37000 – £40000/annum

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technologist to support the ambitious development of a recently formed Architectural practice who have recently acquired an excellent studio space in the grounds on York University. The role can also be home / remote based with scheduled meetings to take place at their studio on weekly or fortnightly basis

The ideal Architectural Technologist will be experienced and either operating at Senior Technologist level or pushing for Senior tittle, Project wise some historical involvement at working on Residential developments of a new build nature would be highly advantageous but not essential, previous cross sector experience will also be looked up very favourably. The specifics of their current work content includes bespoke housing schemes from a 5 unit barn conversion through to a 200 unit site in Sheffield. The residential work includes planning applications through to detail drawing and specification packages for construction purposes on site.

Additional project work immediately on the drawing board also includes PV charging station together with retail units and associated infrastructure works including a PV farm and substation in Scotland. The role will be from early concept stage through to on site meetings to monitor construction and progress.

The Architectural Technologist will be required to have the following to be considered

*Degree or HNC qualified with 5-10 years' experience, MCIAT membership would be highly desirable.

*Ability to produce detailed drawing packages using REVIT software including REVIT modelling.

*Previous historical experience within the Residential sector to include new build and some demonstrable cross sector experience.

*Good all round knowledge of the latest building & planning regulations.

*Excellent technical capabilities and familiar with AutoCAD and ideally REVIT software.

*Good presentation skills, capable of meeting clients and job running on site.

*Keen to play a pivotal role in the development of a young growing practice.

Salary depending on experience and suitability £37,000 – £40,000 per annum + generous benefits. The studio is based In York with the option of home working and flexible hours.
