Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £60000 – £70000/annum

The purpose of the Creative Technologies Manager role would be two-fold: (i) from a product perspective to work in close collaboration across the multi-disciplinary teams of Creative Studio, Technology, Digital Publishing & Operations, Scheduling, Client Services, Sales and Events Teams to identify innovation, requirements, obstacles and then drive collaborative solutions regarding the product, and (ii) from a servicing perspective to support Client Services, Sales and Events Teams as a client- / partner-facing specialist regarding our product capabilities, helping articulate these.

Team collaboration responsibilities are therefore to include:

CREATIVE STUDIO TEAM

Helping communicate technical elements to our creative capabilities both internally and externally.
Working with members of the Tech. Team to identify technical challenges around content broadcast and audience engagement with content; working with these Tech Team members to help find and communicate solutions through to the Creative Studio Team.
Acting as a relationship liaison with specialised content partners / producers.
Playing a key advisory and implementation support role regarding tools and infrastructure to improve the designer experience, efficiency and automation of our production pipeline.
Specifically regarding 'Audience Interaction & User Experience' solutions:
Educating and expanding the understanding of user experience across the business
Playing a key advisory and implementation support role regarding audience interaction / user experience technology from a creative design and production perspective; acting as Creative Studio lead on the integration of such technology solutions within the company's delivery platforms
Establishing and showcasing best practices with practical examples and guidelines. 

TECHNOLOGY TEAM

Communicating requirements to the Tech. Team based on captured content creation and client / partner delivery needs and working in close collaboration with the Tech. Team to ensure solutions meet use cases; updating internal teams on current practices, standards and trends across the media and entertainment industry.
Helping the Technology Team identify and interpret technical limitations to requested district output; helping communicate these both internally and externally.
Standardising content delivery specs based on tech infrastructure; presenting these in an easy and consumable way.
 Acting as a wider business relationship liaison with specialised technology partners, thereby supporting technical road-mapping and integration conversations being undertaken by the Tech. Team.
Specifically regarding 'Audience Interaction & User Experience' solutions:
Linking in closely to the Technology Team on the scoping and integration of desired audience interaction / user experience systems with the company's platforms.
DIGITAL PUBLISHING & OPERATIONS TEAM

Specifically regarding 'Audience Interaction & User Experience' solutions:
Inputting on best practices and current technologies / trends regarding the Companion App; suggesting and prototyping interactivity methods
Capturing standardised communication protocols between the App and our content delivery platforms; feeding these into the Technology Team.

CLIENT SERVICES, SALES & EVENTS TEAMS

Capturing the company's product requirements.
Supporting Teams as a client- / partner-facing specialist regarding our product capabilities, helping articulate these.
Working with the Technology Team and Creative Studio to identify and interpret limitations to output capabilities – helping identify and propose commercially viable alternatives and then having the responsibility for communicating these through to Client Services, Sales and Events Teams
Specifically regarding 'Audience Interaction & User Experience' solutions:
Educating and expanding the understanding of user experience across the business
Establishing and showcasing best practices with practical examples and guidelines
Capturing evolved offering needs and feeding these through to the wider business; helping set up necessary development workstreams.

WIDER COMPANY

Working closely with our HR team in on-boarding new team members, specifically getting them up-to-speed regarding our different spaces and the technology and content platforms which can be activated within them.

What we're looking for:

The successful candidate should be self-driven, a brilliant problem solver, adaptable and have excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working across teams and bringing people together to create positive working solutions to identified barriers.

Proven experience working in real-time engines including Unreal and Unity.
Experience with creating interactive experience such as VR/ AR.
3D and Procedural tools.
CAD is an advantage.
Scripting abilities such as Python, C++ or C#.
Passionate about new technologies and with a proven record of self-motivated skills training. 
High visual and creative standards and great attention to detail.
Being able to compromise between creative and technical limitations by thinking outside the box. 
Problem solving, collaborative, adaptability (able to research and learn new software skills/tools).
Background:

Ideally from an experiential creative agency, or relatable background such as live events, gaming, architecture, exhibitions, theme parks, UX design.
