My Client manages a well established and highly reputable printing company in Waterlooville and they are currently looking to employ 2 full time Sewing Machinists to join their friendly team. Ideally you will have strong relevant experience within a sewing machinist role, however if you have great sewing skills and have a love for it, training maybe offered.
The Main duties of the Sewing Machinist are –
– Production of Products (Flags Banners, bunting etc).
– Production of patterns and plots are kept up to date.
– Testing new Products.
– Monitor Machinery maintenance and servicing.
– Ensure the production of machine room goods meet customer deadlines.
– Working on several different machines (Twin needle, Straight stitch, Zig Zag, Overlocker, Chain Stitch).
– Bagging and labelling of goods.
Additional Duties –
– To keep working area neat and tidy at all times.
– Computer work for labels.
– Using Production Management system for booking out goods.
The Ideal Sewing Machinist will –
– Have previous Industrial Sewing experience, however training will be considered.
– Be a good team player.
– Have good Communications skills.
Company COVID Precautions in place –
– Cleaning completed twice a day.
– Social distancing.
– Weekly rapid testing for staff.
– Visitors are temperature checked, required to wear a mask, must social distance and sanitize hands in the lobby.
– This company has passed the Council Inspection related to COVID precautions required.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.00am to 16.30pm with a half hour lunch break. In return you will have 23.5 days holiday plus bank holidays, auto enrolment of workplace pension, Company discretionary annual bonus based on profit.
