Located in Lutterworth, this supplier of high specification sprayers, sugar beet harvesters, tractors and most other agricultural machines and equipment is looking for an Agricultural Service technician. Experienced within agricultural machinery or other large machinery (construction plant, HGV or armed forces) you will be joining a very busy service department in Lutterworth, Leics.
Joining a small team of Service Engineers, you will need an understanding of the agriculture / horticulture industry and a Level 3 in Land based Engineering or equivalent.
You will be setting up and personalising new machinery before delivery to the customer. Making sure their new equipment is exactly right and ready to go. Servicing machinery on site as well as on the field, (often literally). As an experienced Engineer / Technician you will also be responsible for:
* Overhaul and repair of second-hand machines
* Finding any faults, ensuring that they are reported and rectified
* Servicing of agricultural machinery
* Dealing with any warranty claims and ensuring that any paperwork relating to the claim is completed in the correct fashion
As the successful applicant, you will have a working knowledge of fixing big machinery, possibly working on busses or HGV’s. You must have experience of working with electric and hydraulics and the rest, they are happy to teach you.
This is a permanent position and the working hours will be 8am to 1630pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1530pm on a Friday. There is loads of overtime available. You will be provided with a van to get to and from work and jobs.
Rewarded with a great hourly that can be negotiated, depending on your experience. Overtime rates are T1/2 and DT
