Agricultural Service Engineer

Located in Brigg, North Lincs. This company sell and maintain, new and used farm machinery including New Holland, Kuhn, Agrifac and Stewart Trailers to name a few. We are looking for experienced and semi experienced Service/Workshop Engineers – Agricultural service technicians to join the team here in Brigg. We also have vacancies in Wrangle, Louth and Boston
Joining a small team of around 8 Service Engineers, your job will be setting up and personalising new machinery before delivery to the customer. Making sure their new equipment is exactly right and ready to go. Once the new equipment is sold, as the engineer you will be responsible for servicing and breakdowns. Preventative and problem solving maintenance in the field and in the workshop.
As an experienced Engineer / Technician you will also be responsible for:
* Overhaul and repair of second-hand machines
* Finding any faults, ensuring that they are reported and rectified
* Servicing of agricultural machinery
* Dealing with any warranty claims and ensuring that any paperwork relating to the claim is completed in the correct fashion
As the successful applicant, you will have a working knowledge of fixing big machinery, possibly working on buses or HGV’s. You must have experience of working with electric and hydraulics and the rest, they are happy to teach you.
This is a permanent position and the working hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on a Friday. During busy periods (normally around Feb – March and Sept to Oct) you will need a flexible approach to working overtime.
You will be rewarded with a great hourly that can be negotiated depending on your experience, plus over time and lots of it.
