Agricultural Service Engineer
Hastrec is currently recruiting for an Agricultural Service Engineer to join a growing business based near Daventry, Northamptonshire.
The position will mainly involve installing equipment on to mobile Agricultural and Construction machinery. The Agricultural Service Engineer will also be servicing and repairing the equipment when required. Additionally, the role will involve commissioning, testing and operating the vehicles/equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Installation of electro-hydraulic systems on to agricultural and construction machinery at various customer sites
* Configuring the cab with new control panels, control systems, etc.
* Connecting the controls to the hydraulic system
* Testing and operating the vehicle to ensure machine is functioning correctly
* Complete repairs, servicing and PPM on customer machinery as and when required
* Complete job records and relevant paperwork
Skills, Experience & Education:
* Mechanical maintenance ability or related qualification
* Experience with installing hydraulic systems and/or electro-hydraulics
* Experience with fault diagnosis (preferably on mobile machinery/hydraulics)
* Exposure to heavy industry repair works on agricultural, forestry or construction machinery or similar
* Previous experience as an Agricultural Engineer or heavy vehicle Engineer would be advantageous
* Able to operate large machines such as tractors and/or excavators would be advantageous
