Our client is a leading provider of IT Support Solutions within the Corporate and Education sectors. Established for many years they are hugely successful and respected in the sector helping schools achieve their best standards of learning and development through technology. We are now looking for an 1st Line Support to join the team. Possessing some experience in 1st line IT support we are looking for someone that has great communication skills and desire to learn and develop further technical skills within IT support. The company are superb to work for and provide a great environment and culture with great training and development opportunities. This role is a great starting point for an IT graduate too.
Main Responsibilities as 1st Line IT Support
* Providing IT support for a wide variety of clients and schools
* Handling all 1st line IT support queries and some 2nd line IT support where capable
* Providing technical solutions and problem solving
* Organising and prioritising the tickets and queries in order of urgency
* Maintaining an excellent level of customer service
* Working closely with the IT Field based Engineers
* Passing on complex problems and briefing the relevant engineer
Main Skills
* A background in first line IT support or helpdesk support in an IT capacity
* communication skills and a great telephone manner
* Some basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008 – 2016
* Assisting with helping manage Active Directory environments and using Group Policy in an environment of 30+ devices
* Windows 7 – 10
* Office 365
* A desire to learn and develop a career within IT
* IT graduate would also be beneficial
