ACM Resourcing are currently working on an exciting opportunity to work for an MSP for a 1st/2nd Line IT Helpdesk Support Technician for our client based in London. A key understanding of MacOS and Windows in an IT helpdesk environment is essential.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Provide 1st/ 2nd Line support to the IT users and systems within the business
* Installation and configuring hardware and software
* Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving faults
* Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure
* Remote, telephone or face-to-face support
* Procedural documentation and maintenance of asset register
* Setting up new user accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
* Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties), if appropriate)
* Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time
* Liaise with external software suppliers to resolve software and hardware issues
* Set up and support of smartphones
* Maintenance of telephone system
Skills and experience required:
* Mac OS X and iOS, operating systems in a business environment is essential
* Minimum of 1 years experience in an IT Helpdesk environment is essential
* Experience of Active Directory and Windows Server is
* Adopt a positive and enthusiastic approach
* Use empathy when dealing with employees on support issues
* Telephone, email and interpersonal skills
* Confident telephone manner

* IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
