1st/2nd Line Support Engineer

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £24000 – £26000/annum

Exciting opportunity for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to join our client who tailor IT services to support and deliver exceptional services.

Role based locally in Southend-on-Sea and paying between £24k and £26k

Key responsibilities for this role will be:

* To provide first/second line telephone support for service request fulfilment.

* Field engineering support.

* Incident and problem management.

* Troubleshooting / repairing desktop PC's, laptops and installations.

* Troubleshooting server-side issues and setup of new server solutions.

* Troubleshooting network symptoms.

The key skills required include:

* Good technical knowledge of Windows operating systems.

* Windows Server 2012 to 2019 administration experience.

* AD administration and management.

* Microsoft product support (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

* Microsoft Office 365 support and administration.

* Networking experience (TCP/IP topologies, switches, routers).

* Exposure to CDK Kerridge/Drive (Although not essential).

* Support of mobile devices with MDM.

* Strong communication skills.

* Good customer service skills.

* Good analytical/problem-solving skills, especially in continual service improvement.

* Ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail.

* Passion for technology.

* Willingness and enthusiasm to learn is essential with a can-do approach.

* Self-motivated and organised.

* Must be a team player.

* Whilst the company does offer training, it is desirable that you already have at least two or more related certified qualifications.

* Full UK driving licence required (preferably clean).
